EDUCATION FOR VALUES, ENVIRONMENT AND HUMAN RIGHTS
Paper-V
Time: Three Hours                                                                                Maximum Marks: 80
The candidates shall limit their answers precisely within the answer-book (40 pages) issued to them and no supplementary/continuation sheet will be issued.
Note: Attempt five questions in all. Q. No. 1 is compulsory. Attempt one question from each section. All Questions carry equal marks
Compulsory Question
1.    Write notes on the following (The answer should not exceed 75 words) :
a)    Religion as the Source of Values
b)    Polar Melting
c)    Objectives of Environment Education
d)    Right to education as enshrined in our constitution
e)    Concept of Human Rights.                                          (3,3,4,3,3)

SECTION - I
2.    What is the nature of values ? How will you classify them?
3.    Explain in detail the Righteous conduct as Value. Enlist its sub-values as given by Gokak Committee.

SECTION - II
4.    Describe some innovative teaching practice through which human value scan be inculcated in school
5.    Explain the concept of Pollution. Describe monitoring and control of water and air pollution

SECTION - III
6.    “Man is both the creator and destroyer of environment.” Explain this statement in the light of causes and effects of environmental hazards.
7.    Conservation of natural resources is the necessary pre-requisite for planning of environment. Discuss the role of School in it.

SECTION - IV
8.    Education has an important role to play in disseminating awareness about human rights. Discuss.
9.    What is the role of media like print, TV, films in promoting human rights protection among masses? What limitations these mass media have been facing playing their role effectively?
